What am I?

A rock is a rock and always will be a rock. But a rock does not know it is a rock. It exists and simply is.
I am a human. I live and exist, but I KNOW I am a human. But I don't know what is a human. I know what I am not, but I don't know what I am. I always change. I must create myself through my interactions with the world. I can define myself as anything I want. I create myself from nothing. I can be a doctor, a father, a philosopher, etc. But I know I am more than that. I can never define myself. Because of this consciousness, I will always be incomplete.

  1. Well this plays into what I was talking about (finite and infinite). The body is finite and we know that, but the mind potentially infinite. Due to this and the fact we can never understand infinite we truly can never understand the abstraction which is the human. But with that said, we don't need to understand ourselves completely; we can be like the rock and just simply understand that we can never fully understand(though we can still try, for the fun of it). So to conclude, why don't I end with something very eastern sounding, "a human is a human, but doesn't fully or cannot ever fully understand what that is. So it just lives and simply goes on living.

  2. Just because you cannot put a definition to something doesn't mean you do not know what one is. We define are world with words but sometimes understanding is beyond words. You say you know what you are not. Well if that is true then everything that is left over is you. Maybe you can't put words to it, or define every aspect fully and completely. But that doesn't mean you don't know what you are. You are HxL (I won't use you're real name because I'm not sure if you would mind or not). HxL by definition is everything that encompasses you. Maybe you can't describe that to someone else, but you know it.
Yes you always change but that is besdies the point. Who you were ten minutes ago is not who you are. To define yourself you must use the present. You 10 minutes ago is not who you are now so you don't have to worry about how that affected who you are now. You are a culmination of all your past. So however it affected you has been taken into account when it happened and you are now you because of it. Just because you can't describe yourself to anyone else doesn't mean you don't know who you are. Who you are is your entire life. For anyone else to truly understand they would have to live your live. So in my opinion, it is not so much that you don't know what you are, but more no one else does and there is no way for them to know.
Of course this is all just my opinion as I, contrary to public believe, am not omniscient. Just kidding, I am. Or am I?

  3. You are a creature of importance. A soul known to its self but not to others. Your inner self is unique, it can be whatever it desires. Whether you can explain your self to others or not is irrelevant. All that matters is the mode in which you travel through this short life of ours. Don't let your interactions with the world shape or create you ,but rather let the world's interaction with you create who you are. Society goes through this world spiritless, without any desire to see within themselves. They only see the person on the outside. The person content with their reflection. This is saddening because the true soul of a is person never seen looking back. They were the mask of others. A mask they created to blend in. Everyone has their own mask that is worn on the outside and covers the true untouched inner self. In order to know who we really are, we need to remove the mask we've been wearing for so long. Eventually, a mask covering the face, covers the soul. And this is where the incompleteness begins to form. Under a mask we are hidden and society placed this mask upon our face.
