Inside

I cannot think today, I cannot focus.
My mind is filled with nothingness.
Not a single idea do I possess or can create.
I look upon the glass window where the raindrops fall with no purpose.
I fall with them.

  1. Is a poem not an idea or thought? Can a mind not be focused if it is clear? But from a poetic standpoint I would say it is pleasantly simple.

  2. I wanted to say that this was a very meditative piece, but the words "nothingness" and "no purpose" are very misleading. Be careful in the choice of words. Good job though.

  3. I change my view on this piece.. "nothingness" I interpret as "idle talk of the mind".. "rain drops fall with no reason is Josh's empirical interpretation of a phenomenon that has happened many times before, only now along with mood, is the 'rain drops' consisting of no purpose behind their 'being'. I hate to say this again, but I am finding more and more that all of these "idle talks.. ambiguities.. curiosities.." ^ so forth are all ontological issues
