I cannot think today, I cannot focus.
My mind is filled with nothingness.
Not a single idea do I possess or can create.
I look upon the glass window where the raindrops fall with no purpose.
I fall with them.

Is a poem not an idea or thought? Can a mind not be focused if it is clear? But from a poetic standpoint I would say it is pleasantly simple.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say that this was a very meditative piece, but the words "nothingness" and "no purpose" are very misleading. Be careful in the choice of words. Good job though.
ReplyDeleteI change my view on this piece.. "nothingness" I interpret as "idle talk of the mind".. "rain drops fall with no reason is Josh's empirical interpretation of a phenomenon that has happened many times before, only now along with mood, is the 'rain drops' consisting of no purpose behind their 'being'. I hate to say this again, but I am finding more and more that all of these "idle talks.. ambiguities.. curiosities.." ^ so forth are all ontological issues
